C. Rieger Wood, IV, DDS
Dr. Riegy Wood grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where his father, Dr. C. Rieger Wood, III is a general dentist and instructor at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry (OUCOD) and his mother is a hygienist and chairman of the OUCOD hygiene program. From an early age, dentistry has been a big part of Dr. Wood’s life. He grew up working at his father’s private practice, helping with several different jobs from answering the phones to chair side assisting.
Dr. Wood attended the University of Oklahoma for undergraduate studies and dental school. While in dental school, he volunteered at multiple clinics providing free dental care to patients in need. After graduating, he moved to Kansas City and completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Dr. Wood has special interest in dentoalveolar, implant, pediatric and corrective jaw surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He currently maintains hospital privileges at Overland Park Regional Medical Center and Saint Luke’s South Hospital.
Dr. Wood is a member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Kansas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Kansas Dental Association, and the Kansas 5th District. He enjoys giving back to the community and volunteering with the Mission of Mercy in Oklahoma and Missouri. When Dr. Wood is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kathryn, playing golf, going to the lake, and spending time with family.
